The 15th Dongguang International Carton Packaging Machinery Expo successfully concluded in Hebei, China, in late April 2025. In this episode, our CORRFACE team visits the exhibition for an in-depth technical review of Yueda's laminating machines.
This laminating machine is specifically designed for aluminum foil applications, featuring advanced functionalities. It ensures uniform adhesive application on metallized films and precision lamination to paper rolls, making it ideal for producing moisture-proof and fresh-keeping packaging solutions. Taking fruit boxes as an example - traditionally produced on corrugated lines, this laminating machine now enables direct aluminum foil application, creating new production opportunities for factories without corrugated production lines. This solution not only reduces production costs, but also increases output capacity.
The laminator is equipped with a paper feed frame and automatic edge alignment system, effectively resolving sheet warping issues. Its servo-motor control system not only saves electricity but also reduces energy consumption. During operation, the film undergoes auto-correction before entering the adhesive application unit, followed by dual-stage pressing that removes air bubbles to ensure that the film coating effect is smooth and even. The extended machine body design reduces moisture evaporation time, complemented by heated drying rollers for complete moisture removal.

The winding unit of this equipment is driven by a high-power motor, ensuring consistent tension during high-speed operation up to 150 meters per minute, with capability for non-stop roll change. The equipment can be flexibly modified to accommodate special requirements such as pre-coated films or high-temperature laminates upon customer request. In terms of width, the current equipment can handle substrates up to 2.9 meters, which is compatible with standard corrugator web widths. While limited by available film widths, this specification meets the majority of production requirements in the industry.
In addition to aluminum foil laminators, Yueda showcased its roll-to-sheet color film positioning laminator. This innovative system employs a unique two-stage process: first printing the film with precision patterns, then performing secondary optical alignment - making it particularly suitable for short-run orders. This simplified system is specifically engineered for small-batch production and prototyping, offering customers a flexible and efficient solution. Furthermore, Yueda's laminating machines demonstrate dominant advantages in watermelon box production. With proven and efficient manufacturing processes, they not only reduce customer costs but also reliably meet high-volume order requirements.
